Hello, I was wondering what is the best way to use send-mailmessage in version 2.0 with a user id and password being passed to the -credentials parameter, because i dont want to use get-credentials command i want to havethe userid and password in the script, the way i am already doing is the way you have it but i wanted to just use the cmdlet send-mailmessage.

Please kindly check if your sending rate is higher than 30 messages per minute. Office 365 imposes a limit of 30 messages sent per minute, and a limit of 10,000 recipients per day.
